Routes

2012 - London Victoria & St Pancras to Faversham and Sheerness

Patch File for Route - Needs route to be downloaded first (via Subscribe)

(Reason for patch - the route is listed as final and can't be updated any further)

Fixes:

  • Issue with AI collision at Faversham on Northbound Quick Drive scenario
  • Issue with Missing Track Texture north of Ebbsfleet (just before tunnel)
  • Signal on Track at Ebbsfleet (this one was copied from London to Faversham)

2012 - Description

This route merges Chatham Main Line to London to Faversham and the Sheerness on Sea Branch routes, this version is set in 2012 so will have the original Rochester and Gravesend stations present, as well as the Rainham Station without a bay platform. This route would be suitable for BR Blue / Grey to current Southeastern although not as good for 2015 onwards where stations and track has been changed more recently. (although earlier than Southeastern may look out of place with Southeastern signage everywhere though - but would work better on the 2012 route than the 2016 one :) )

I know people are going to make suggestions for extensions and routes to join, I do have some planned but only have a finite time in free time, so may not be able to do most requests unfortunately. (PS if you suggest a 100 mile route for me, I would have to say no)

For those that want a route with New Gravesend, Rochester and Rainham please go here - 2016 Version
Notes:

  • Some quick drives may not work
  • Route should be complete

For those that want to have the Older Rochester / Gravesend and Rainham stations present there is this version set in 2012 Click Here for More

Route Merging and Updates: Danny Leach

This version of the route is a route merge of Hannover to Hamburg and Hamburg to Lubeck - this route is essentially complete.

Notes - It mentions that it was uploaded in January, it was but was a failed test - however this has been recently uploaded as of 15/07/2016

For a Version that also includes the S1 route - go here - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=797377654

Unlike the other route mergers - I had no part in the original Hannover - Hamburg or Hamburg to Lubeck

Here is a route that combines Hamburg S1 Bahn and Hamburg Hannover routes into one route - this route also includes Hamburg Lubeck because this is included with the S1 route.

For the older Version that also doesn't the S1 route - go here - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=598692144

Original Routes - DTG

Munich to Garmisch and Augsburg

Not an official route, this will combine Munich to Garmish and Munich to Augsburg as a separate route.

Notes - Also if you decide to rate down this route, you are perfectly entitled too of course, but I do ask though if you could say why you don't like it, as I welcome any constructive critism. (PS - I don't bite, if you say you don't like the route :) )

For other things that I have done in my own time, I also have a facebook page with pictures from Scenarios and other routes that i've looked at.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dannys-Route-Pictures/271300119587161

Updates -

  • Added 2015 Cars (+ Traffic) and 2014/2015 Characters to Munich Augsburg Sections
  • Added Bridge Occulsions to Most bridges on the route
  • Changed all vegetation to Munich Garmisch versions for consistency.
  • Changed Track rules to Munich Garmisch versions (for scenario reasons)
  • Updated Quick Drive to cover whole route (no Augsburg to Garmisch ones as not sure how it would cope with reversing)

Munich Augsburg - Dovetail Games
Munich Garmisch - Dovetail Games
Combined Route - Danny Leach

My Contributions as part of the team that did the original routes[/b]

(My Parts of Munich Augsburg and Garmish included under Dovetail games), not that much though really compared to London Brighton and South London Network.

  • Augsburg to just after Kissing Station
  • Around Munich Laim to the yard just after Passing (Towards Augsburg)
  • Adding 2015 Cars and Characters to Munich Garmish Route (didn't make the actual models)

Munich to Innsbruck - Via Garmisch

Not an official route, this will combine Munich to Garmisch and the Mittenwald - Garmisch to Innsbruck as a separate route, so you'll be able to drive from Munich to Innsbruck in one go. To note the only scenarios that come with this route are Quick Drives (I can't upload scenarios with a route).

A note: Its mentioned on the German forums "Danny should keep to his London Routes", to note to that - I like to merge routes like this together. Also to note London Routes aren't actually my favourite route, that would be Network Southeast and Kentish type routes (but I also like communter type routes too whether they are in Germany, Us or UK )

Notes - Also if you decide to rate down this route, you are perfectly entitled too of course, but I do ask though if you could say why you don't like it, as I welcome any constructive critism. (PS - I don't bite, if you say you don't like the route :) )

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dannys-Route-Pictures/271300119587161

Updates -

  • Fixed issue for Quick Drive from Munich to Innsbruck (and all stations upto and not including Garmisch
  • Fixed issue with Mittenwald Quick Drive spawn facing wrong direction Northbound and also added stations to munich from Mittenwald (not sure how i missed that!)
  • Moved Quick Drive spawn point at Munich to Platform 26 (also for trains into Munich) - to account for Double ICE T Formations
  • Moved Quick Drive spawn point at Innsbruch to Platform 1 (for Double ICE T Formations)
  • Added speed limit sign north of Mittenwald for a 40 Km/h section of track

Combined Route - Danny Leach (Some scenery in Munich Garmisch too )

Notes - Not an official route, this will combine Munich to Garmisch,Munich to Augsburg and Munich Rosenhiem as a separate route.

Extra Terrain Files - OPTIONAL

These terrain files are an optional update for the Munich to Augsburg, Garmisch and Rosenheim route. These were taken out due to the 200 MB Limit on steam workshop (set by Valve themselves). The route will run and look fine with out these files, however I have included them as an optional download for those that would like to re-add them to the route.

For other things that I have done in my own time, I also have a facebook page with pictures from Scenarios and other routes that i've looked at.

My Contributions as part of the team that did the original routes

(My Parts of Munich Augsburg and Garmish included under Dovetail games), not that much though really compared to London Brighton and South London Network.

  • Augsburg to just after Kissing Station
  • Around Munich Laim to the yard just after Passing (Towards Augsburg)
  • Adding 2015 Cars and Characters to Munich Garmish Route (didn't make the actual models)

Notes - First point, I'm sure i'll be asked this a dozen times. I cannot merge the North East Corridor route (New York to Philadelphia) to either of these routes unfortunately, this is due to having a different route point of origin to the newer ones. (this means that if i merged it to these routes New York would be in a different place). I'm hoping people will read this bit before asking ;).

Also to note - I know that the original North East Corridor has been updated, however it still isn't possible to merge the route, the track and location of the point of origin hasn't changed, the only way that would be changed is if it were built from scratch. (which is very unlikely)

Route information - This route combines North Jersey Coast and New York New Haven routes into one route, this route is listed as a separate route to the New York New Haven and North Jersey Coast routes in the list and will not affect scenarios from either route. This route does have quick drives but only from the more important stations on the route but i'm sure there will be scenarios on workshop in the future from other people.

Notes 2 - Also unfortunately to add to the above this route can't be merged to another Workshop route - New Haven to Boston, for the same reason as the above route.

Updates

  • V1.01 - Fixed Speed Changes on the HUD
  • V1.1 - Updated New York Penn Tracks to be all wooden (not the most fun one to do!)
  • V1.1 - Fixed lowered passengers at New York Penn
  • V1.1 - Fixed spelling issue on Botanical Garden Quick Drive
  • V1.1 - Adjusted overhead wiring bridges and scenery around Milford 3 track section to account for "missing" track.
  • V1.1 - Adjusted Hell Gate Bridge Approaches to account for missing track (as in to make room for 4 tracks)
  • V1.1 - Added Missing Industrial sidings at Bridgeport (not sure how useful these will actually be, but they've been placed - as requested)
  • V1.2 Replaced Gantries between Rahway and South Amboy Sidings to PRR ones
  • V1.2 Electrified extra South Amboy Siding
  • V1.2 Replaced all stations electrification to gantries between Rahway and Long Branch
  • V1.2 Bridge Adjustments for Williams Bridge, Woodlawn and Melrose platforms (Scaled to meet the bridge height)
  • V1.2 All Terrain Files included

Note - I know that a 172 doesn't go anywhere near Swanley - its just a picture to show two of the trains included with the routes.

Description: This route basically combines North London & Goblin into Chatham Main Line and is set in 2016 so has Battersea Park P1 culled completely and P2 as a terminal platform. There is also a quick drive where you can drive from Rainham to Rainham (London to Kent and Vice Versa - Electric though via Stratford)

Notes: Goblin is not electrified in this version (like the other route uploaded), also need to add Orpington to the quick drives.

Updates

  • Added Orpington and Orpington Via Catford as Destinations for Goblin Line stations
  • Fixed Gap in Overhead Wires at Stratford P2

Note - I'm not adding the East London Line to this - this is mainly because of the many extra assets that would be needed to make that route accurate. (I've also not included Blackfriars to this route version because of the other requirements needed )

Description: This route basically combines North London & Goblin onto the South London Network and is set in 2015 so has Battersea Park P1 culled completely and P2 as a terminal platform. To Note it currently doesn't have a quick drive other than that Goblin one - this will be finished after the Electrified Goblin route - uploaded so that it can be seen. (set in 2015 because of London Bridge - not sure what to do with that one )

Notes: Goblin is not electrified in this version

Notes

Basically this route has been merged together with not much extra done to it, although I'll need to re-add Beckenham Junction from South London & Thameslink but not using Bedford assets (to keep it to just North London & Goblin + South London Network only )

Things to Finish - Need to update Platform Lengths for 2015, and other updates, although East Croydon and London Bridge are a pain so not sure what to do with those, I also need to add quick drive to this route but that will be after the Electrified Goblin. (I was caught off guard by it being released on a Wednesday )

(Also forgot to add Crystal Palace to Beckenham Junction into it but that will be included in the next upload - my apologies, at the moment its just South London Network)

Description: This route is basically a 3rd Rail version of the North Somerset Route where i've litterally just added 3rd rail to the route just for the fun of it. (The credit for the Route - DTG )

Notes - I'd limit to using 4 Car EMUs at most due to size

Reuploaded to test uploading after a route had been finalised, however it just uploaded a new version of it instead, the older version has been removed - this upload broke the original, this one replaces it. (its the same mostly)

(used the oportunity to add Sub Stations along the route at least)

Settle to Carlisle - Electric

Description: Basically this is an electric version of the Settle to Carlisle Line, I did this to practice with the overhead wire tool basically. For the most part it is complete (track, signals and quick drive), there are a few minor scenery bits needed to be done but that is pretty much it (adding transformers for the Overhead lines)

Updates

  • Update V1.01 - Fixed gaps in return wires (whole route)
  • Update V1.01 - Fixed gaps in Caternary
  • Update V1.01 - Minor scenery updates - replaced Bridges, lots of trees (not all but lots)
  • Update V1.01 - Changed Carlisle Overhead wires to newer ones (not perfect but better than before)
  • Update V1.02 - Added Transformers all along route and changed a lot of trees to WCML Versions

Notes
If you don't like this route, please let me know why :) (mainly so i know where to improve :) ), also

Settle to Carlisle - Dovetail Games
Adding Electrication and Modifications to Signals / Quick Drives and Scenery - Danny Leach

This is the Southeatern Mainline from London Cannon Street / London Blackfriars to Sevenoaks / Rainham.

This route will be released in 4 stages.

Stage 1 : Initial Release, Track laid to Sevenoaks from London Bridge
Stage 2 : Track expansion from Sevenoaks to Swanley
Stage 3 : Track expansion to Hays
Stage 4 : Track expansion to Bromley North

Please Note :
Currently, this route does not have London Charing Cross on it. Depending If we can get the required development files, this may be added at a later date.

This route uses the South London Lines London Bridge Model and track layout. It will not be updated to the new 2018 station and layout.

Scenary will be added to the route as time goes on, with little incremental updates between releases. This does take some time to do, but as you will be able to tell, we have started to make a start on it in specific areas.

Some Notes:
This route is a Work in Progress at the moment, and will be worked on when time allows. We all have full time jobs, so this is done in our spare time.

The track at Lewisham area has been laid as a "Best effort", since the South London Network track ( Which is where it feeds from ), is off centre to the overlay, and the position of Chatham Mainline being correct, has forced us to make the best of a bad situation. We cant relay the entire New Cross Section as it would add too-much time to this project. Our apologies if this offends anyone, but we just don't have the time to correct this.

Additional stages may be added to this route as time goes on, which may involve the extension to Tonbridge & dartford loops, bringing to route down to Greenhithe ( Blue water ) where the Faversham route finishes. This statement is just our current chain of thought for this route.

The Developers of this Workshop Route.

  • This route was designed by TrainzTop Railsim
  • London Cannon Street / London Blackfrairs to New Cross by Danny from his South London / Thameslink Route
  • Track work in Grove Park area and Orpington to Sevenoaks by Jeremy from UK Route Designs

South London to Brighton

Notes - Also if you decide to rate down this route, you are perfectly entitled too of course, but I do ask though if you could say why you don't like it, as I welcome any constructive critism. (PS - I don't bite, if you say you don't like the route :) )

Notes - I can't merge in GEML or ECML South to any of these routes, this is due to both of these routes having a different stating point to these routes, ECML is around Stevenage, GEML is around Colchester, while North London Line, London to Bedford, London to Faversham, South London Network and London to Brighton is at Swanley.

Other Routes

This is not an official route, this is something that I have done in my own time to combine the two routes, and also includes the extra little sections of Hove and Reigate.

For other things that I have done in my own time, I also have a facebook page with pictures from Scenarios and other routes that i've looked at.

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Dannys-Route-Pictures/271300119587161

Notes: After a few comments that i've seen, I have decided that I'm not going to give permission for anyone to submit changes for this route (if you merge the routes yourselves I have no say of course), you can of course make changes to your own copy of the route as a personal route, but I have decided that for over reasons and that I would prefer that there weren't about 20 copies of the same route with minor changes on workshop.

Basically this is the combined London - Brighton Route attached to the South London Network, so includes the following routes: *Track)

Joined Route - Danny Leach (+ updates to the London Brighton sections including Hove)
Richard Mills - Reigate Section (With minor tweaks by myself to use the newer assets and tidying minor bits)

(My sections of the South London Network and London Brighton are included under "Dovetail Games" along with the rest of the team that were a big part of the routes )

(but if anyone is interested)

  • Peckham Rye to Crofton Park

(the last three in own time)

Basically this is the South London to Brighton route merged onto the London to Bedford route and includes Bedford to Brighton Via Herne Hill and London Bridge, however it is still a work in progress route so there are still things to do. Update - Really sorry that it is taking a long time to finish this route, I was really hoping to get it finished sooner but things have gotten in the way (personal life + work).

Notes - Also if you decide to rate down this route, you are perfectly entitled too of course, but I do ask though if you could say why you don't like it, as I welcome any constructive critism. (PS - I don't bite, if you say you don't like the route :) )

This route requires an extra download for Stations - including City Thameslink and Blackfriars station - these are only meant to be representations rather than the exact match. The assets in the download are altered DTG model files used with permission. (however these are still WIP unfortunately
