South London to Brighton

Notes - Also if you decide to rate down this route, you are perfectly entitled too of course, but I do ask though if you could say why you don't like it, as I welcome any constructive critism. (PS - I don't bite, if you say you don't like the route :) )

Notes - I can't merge in GEML or ECML South to any of these routes, this is due to both of these routes having a different stating point to these routes, ECML is around Stevenage, GEML is around Colchester, while North London Line, London to Bedford, London to Faversham, South London Network and London to Brighton is at Swanley.

This is not an official route, this is something that I have done in my own time to combine the two routes, and also includes the extra little sections of Hove and Reigate.

Notes: After a few comments that i've seen, I have decided that I'm not going to give permission for anyone to submit changes for this route (if you merge the routes yourselves I have no say of course), you can of course make changes to your own copy of the route as a personal route, but I have decided that for over reasons and that I would prefer that there weren't about 20 copies of the same route with minor changes on workshop.

Basically this is the combined London - Brighton Route attached to the South London Network, so includes the following routes: *Track)

  • London Victoria to Brighton (via various ways through South London)
  • London Victoria / Bridge to Riddlesdown / Kenley / Coulsdon Town (or Smitham)
  • London Victoria to Kent House
  • London Victoria to Crofton Park
  • London Victoria to West Croydon
  • London Bridge to Brighton
  • London Bridge to West Croydon (Via New Cross, Crystal Palace and Selhurst)
  • London Bridge to London Victoria (Inner and Outer South London Lines)
  • London Bridge to New Cross
  • Surrey Quays to New Cross / West Croydon / Clapham Junction
  • Hove and Reigate

Updates to London Brighton sections on this route:

  • TS14 Characters with TS15 animations to all stations.
  • Changed Track and Track Rule to South London Network (for Scenario reasons)
  • Changed third rail to South London version (looks better)
  • Changed Vegetation to South London Network (to avoid having two different route styles and looks better!)
  • TS14 Platform Lofts with updated boundaries
  • TS15 Road Lofts
  • Collision boxes added to all stations
  • Rain and Tunnel Occulsions added to all stations
  • Updated Merstham cutting to look better. (Embankment assets to hide jagged terrain)
  • Minor fixes all along the route to improve minor bits.
  • Added disabled ramps to all stations (where appropriate)
  • Removal of distant asset block houses where appropriate )
  • Added more portals to the route


Updates to Route since release

  • *Update 1.1 - Added missing crossovers north and south of Earlswood (with Signalling and Speed signs)
  • *Update 1.2 - Finished Quickdrives (and added missing third rail on above crossover!)
  • *Update 1.21 - Fixed Quickdrives due to them being uploaded and not appearing (not sure why)
  • *Update 1.3 - Minor fixes to track directionality, missing AWS ramps between Herne Hill and Tulse Hill, and added Hove Station area.
  • *Update 1.4 - Now includes Reigate, with thanks to Richard Mills who did the section (with minor tweaks and tidying by myself - changing assets to South London Versions) and Requested - Added additional portals for those that wanted to import London - Brighton scenarios, so if in doubt use the portals labelled "Portal" :) 
  • Update 1.5 - Adds minor fixes to signals and aws ramps around Sanderstead, and terrain around horsham portal (requested)
  • Update 1.6 - Added AWS and TPWS to the Waterloo lines and Lines to and from West London Line (only as far as the end of international junction), Added Missing signals on International Junction (and AWS Ramps too!) and Changed Speed Limits at Clapham Junction P1 and 2 (with buffer light)

  • Salfords to Merstham
  • Balham to Purley (including Streatham Hill, Streatham and Norwood Junction)
  • South Croydon to Riddlesdown
  • Purley to Kenley 
  • Southeastern Class 375 (Reskin) (+ 3 Variants that were included with London Faversham)
